You'd better learn to live with it, it has happened so much to me I just don't hear it anymore. Well, it's true I did not design the deck in the first place, but I did not xerox it from the dojo or whatever group on the net (hell, I've had internet access only for a couple of month...).BTW, I would like to know what you think about that little story, i.e am I a xeroxer or not??? After being trashed by "dojodeck" (even if it did not exist at that time) for the zillionth time with my rogue deck, I thought: "well it's time to try a more proven concept". So Lo and Behold, I try a deck with lot's of small creature, since they were my main source of trashing. I like to play white, so white is the color, with w knight, savannah lions, javelineers, orders... Then, I put in a few crusades, working so well in that deck, and because I quickly learned that I needed to stop other decks cold in their track, I also put a few armagueddons. First tourney I went, I got a few good first turn, then got thoroughly trashed by some experienced player, who knew just what to do against my deck.... And got dubbed the equivalent of "scrub playing dojo white weenie deck", but by those I beat in the first round, not the other way... Then with the new expansions, stp got dropped, protected shadow/flyers replaced the disappeared orders/lions... because I just used my two working brain cell to know what was good in my deck... So what do we have now? I play a VERY common white weenie, could even be called your staple ww... Did I copy it from the dojo? No. Is it on the dojo? Yes, or very nearly. Do I get called dojo-xeroxer-scrub ? Yes. Do I care? Not on my life. Why? because those who call me that are those I best with my deck, because I've played it countless time (between other decks), because I know how it plays, what I can do with it. Those who play the dojo-deck-of-the-day, not knowing half of it, always (well nearly) ends up on the wrong side of the beating, then whine about loosing to my dojo deck, because That Card is so broken, how they were mana screwed, how their deck was so much better than mine, whatever... The REAL good player hand me my head on a plater on a regular basis, then we shake hands on a good match. Yes I worked hard to improve my deck to the dojo level it has, and yes it irks me sometimes to see your common brainless zombie playing dojo-slight or whatever. But hey, what do I care? I just trash them and get done with it... Copying a good deck does not make one a good player. Playing does. I just do not give a pig's fart about "recognition", or to those calling me scrub. Anyway, the really good and interesting player will recognize a good player from a zombie. Huh, I got lost again. Sorry for the long rambling... Stephane Roselier, the scrubiest scrub ever.
