From: hastern@ccgate.hac.com (Henry A. I took 3rd at the tournament. I had the highest point total after the sealed portion(12-3) but just did OK during the type II portion (9-6) ( something to keep in mind if you want to copycat the deck :) Anyways, the deck works better in swiss than it does in 2/3 or 3/5 matches since it can usualy win the first game but can be sideboarded against rather effectively. Also note the strong anti-black element (2 dervishes standard and 2 more in the sideboard) that was a by product of the US Nationals and was not quite as usefull at Worlds. I'm still working on a tournament report that will detail my experience at Worlds. Anyways, here it is, "Vise Age", with thanks to Mark Chalice and Scott Burke Total Cards: 63 Land (24) --------- 4 Karplusan Forest 4 Strip Mines 7 Mountains 2 Dwarven Ruins 7 Forest Direct Damage (12) ------------------ 4 Lightning Bolt 3 Incinerate 4 Fireball 1 Channel Vice Age Components (14) ------------------------ 4 Black Vise 4 Howling Mine 3 Stormbind 3 Zuran Orbs Creatures (10) -------------- 2 Llanowar Elves 3 Orcish Lumberjacks 2 Whirling Dervish 2 Orgg 1 Shivan Dragon (could substitute Jhotul Wurm if you're feeling nutty) Defense (3) ----------- 2 Jokulhaups 1 Crumble Sideboard (15) -------------- 2 Whirling Dervish -- anti-black 3 Pyroclasm -- anti-weenie 2 Lurgoyf -- anti-creature deck 3 Pyroblast -- anti-blue 3 Anarchy -- anti-CoP 2 Crumble -- anti-Orb --
