Walking into this Chicago Qualifier I am fairly confident in my decks ability to beat Etrai/Tog and Blue or Blue/White decks; I am however slightly worried about Sandipoise because I am playing mono black Here is the Listing: 4 sewer rats 4 fallen askari 4 skulking ghosts 4 feral shadow 4 crypt rats 4 coercion 4 dark ritual 2 drain life 1 kaervaks spite 17 swamb 4 quicksand Board: 4 ebony charm 4 dirtwater wraith 2 forsaken wastes 2 enfeeblement 2 bubble matrix 1 touchstone Round 1 I must commend my opponent for playing the most original deck I saw all day. He was playing red/black land destruction. I win 2-0 round 2 Dave Magnani. Bad thing. hes a friend game 1: he plays Black/blue i think i can win. He goes 2nd turn merfolk traders third turn Necromancy on necrosavant.i die game 2: i go 2nd turn wraith and stall out at 2 land too long and loose with him at 2 life ( i had 2 crypt rats 3 feral shadows in my hand. this sucks). round 3 Me vs. b/u he gets poor draws to much land both games and looses round 4 Me vs. B I know I can win ,I should win! I...Don't. Game one Argghh mana screw game2 i survive 1st turn hidden horror the he plays skulking ghost i'm at 12 hes at twenty guess what 6 tirns later i die to that 1 skulking ghost despit having at least 10 ways to kill it. my ability to topdeck 5 swamps in a row contributed to this loss. I... drop. maybe next time. I guess magic is like nature survival and continuation of the fittest. -Isaac Dorfman P.S. Life/Magic sucks Thanks
