Hey Frank this is the report of the GA State Championship as I can remember
it.
Fri. Night 11:00 PM
Finally off work and am able to get to Ga. Tech to play test with Sol Malka
and the other members of team NWO-Eric "the cure"Ewald,  David Hsu, and Joey
Leak.  I had not been playing a lot of T2 since Saga came out and new of the
Stroke decks and there seeming dominance over the field.  I put together the
cards for an academy deck and  was going to pack that on Saturday.
Sat morning 3:00 am
play testing was not going to well with my $300.00 Deck it seem the boys had
there eyes set on beating the academy decks and were proving it could be done.
Sol started talking about some crazy red/green deck he was thinking about and
we put it together. After one hour of testing in was clear this deck was the
proper meta game choice and a hell of a lot more fun to play. I decided to
play the "NWO" think tank deck "BIG PAPA PUMP".
6:00 am it was to late for any of us to get any sleep so we took of to get
some breakfast.
10:30  the tourney starts
11:00  the tourney ends
I dont remember many of the details sleep depravation was the word of the day
but some of the highlights were as follows
#1 I won the state chamionship!!!! WOW!!!!!
#2 Joey Leak took  2nd playing the same deck!!!! WOW!!!!!
#3 Sol Malka took 3rd and was the inspiration for the deck we play tested at
3:00am Sat.!!!! WOW!!!!

What are the odds of that?; and all of us with no sleep.
F.Y.I    there were 90-100 people in the tourney.
"Big Papa Pump" took out a total of 4 academy decks and did not lose to
any!!!!
I finished with a record 9-1 with a 6-1 record in Swiss.
Joey Leak went 5-0 in Swiss before he drew into the top 8 at 5-0-2
and finished 7-1-2 his only loss came way of me in the mirror match in the
finals!!!

I asked David Doust that he let Joey and I split the title under the
circumstances but to no avail.

Its only fair to let the world know that although the deck was made as a meta
game decision the Albino Troll a.k.a. "Big Papa Pump" Is simply an amazing
creature. I dont remember a creature being as dominant in a field before. it
least one that nobody was commonly using.

Anyway, "all you Magic the Gathering freaks out there - Big Papa Pump is
you're hook up holler if you here me!!!!!"
