Subject: Deck submission Date: Mon, 02 Feb 1998 21:14:06 -0500 From: Simon Lépine To: fkusumot@ix.netcom.com Hi Frank. I noticed the lack of discussion on propa-geddon decks on the dojo, so here's mine. While testing this propa-geddon deck I was trying to figure a good way to kill. I've tried Grindstone, it worked ok, but i wasn't really pleased with it, it caused the games to stall for too long. I considered Spirit Mirror, but, like Grindstone. it's hurted by what people will side against this deck, Artifact/Enchantment removal (but you could say that having more targets is good too, it depends on what removal is sided against you, global or targeted spells). Besides, Spirit Mirror is easily blocked and is not a big threat. Same thing for Blinky. Rainbow Effreet is not that great in a mana deprivation deck. Fatties like Derelor would be instant targets for the removal spell you're opponent's been holding the whole game. So I came up with Avenging Angel, which is very hard to get rid of, and can provide sufficient beatdown. Besides, it's always unexpected in a game like that, it's always good to shock your opponent. The casting cost is not a big factor here, since you shouldn't have to cast it too early. But if your opponent is having a slow start, it's nice to have the option of an Angel beatdown. This deck has trouble with sligh, Pup-Orc-Ball Lightning being very painful for this deck, unless you go first and lay a third turn propanganda or counter the BL. The ideal draw for this deck is second turn diamond- 3 turn propaganda and 4th turn geddon. Followed later by Wisdom. Then you keep trying to stall your opponent by recycling geddons and winter orbs. If you survive to this point against any creature deck the gsme should be yours. In general, creatures decks do poorly against this deck. If you play your geddons at the right time, you should beat blue too.
